The Remembering You, Remembering Us (RYRU) virtual support group is an innovative solution to the difficulties associated with in-person bereavement counseling. In times of loss, it is often difficult to gather the energy to seek support outside of the home. The anonymous support group, held in English and Spanish, allows grieving family members who experienced pregnancy, infant, or reproductive loss access to both peer and professional support free of cost and from the comfort of their own homes.
First Candle’s peer-to-peer online support groups are a safe and supportive place for individuals and their families to share information and experiences surrounding pregnancy and infant loss. First Candle holds a Sudden Infant Death Support Group, Stillbirth Support Group, and Miscarriage Support Group.
First Candle also offers 24/7 phone support in English and Spanish: 800.221.7437 lori@firstcandle.org
Please join SHARE over Zoom for support group on the third Monday of the month at 11:00am. Contact, Patti Budnik, companion@nationalshare.org for more information. If you are not ready to meet through zoom or in-person, please join SHARE's online chat. The chat will be online the FIRST, SECOND, & FOURTH Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm - 9:00pm central standard time.
MIS meetings are a safe place. They are non-denominational, and not religiously affiliated. MIS emphasizes the principle that we do not judge other people's experiences, or the decisions they made during their loss. Meetings are held online and attendees need to register (each month) to attend.
Rachel's Gift offers support groups led by caring, qualified counselors and social workers with years of experience to help moms and families move toward healing. Unlike general bereavement support groups, their groups are specifically designed for families enduring miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death. Families are able to join a support group at any time. All our groups are free for families to attend, as they are generously funded by community donations.
The Compassionate Friends offers “virtual chapters” through an Online Support Community (live chats). This program was established to encourage connecting and sharing among parents, grandparents, and siblings (over the age of 18) grieving the death of a child. The rooms supply support, encouragement, and friendship. The friendly atmosphere encourages conversation among friends; friends who understand the emotions you’re experiencing. There are general bereavement sessions as well as more specific sessions.
PLSP offers two support groups: Monthly First Trimester Miscarriage Peer Support Group and Six-Week Support Group Series for Later Losses. Contact PLSP to learn more about joining a support group for grieving families struggling to cope with the loss of a baby.
No matter the gestational age or type of loss, RTZ HOPE virtual support groups provide an inclusive and accessible space for bereaved parents to process their grief and build community through the shared experience of loss.
Offers phone support to bereaved family members (leave a message if it’s after hours and a volunteer will call you back): 516.364.COPE (2673)
